Cayenne Spiced Kale

These are hands down my son’s favorite Kale Chips!

Simply stem a bunch of clean kale.  Toss and massage the leaves with a little extra virgin olive oil and some Sweet and Spicy Cayenne Mix (depending on how big your bunch is 1 – 3 tsp of the mix – I use 1/4 tsp of cayenne in the mix for this recipe).  Dehydrate at 105F till dry.  Enjoy as is or cracked into pieces as a topping on any meal, like soups or quinoa.

    That’s a great way to get the greens into the kids as they probably wouldn’t eat it raw in a salad like I would. I’ll have to get my dehydrator out

      Hi Lucy, thank you for reading. I also wanted to tell you that my son loves Ani Phyo’s sunflower dressing with kale… It is our staple salad. It is under recipes for salad called “I can’t stop eating this kale salad!”. ;). Hope you like that one too.

    Wanted to try and make the kale chips tonight for us! I don’t have a dehydrator….can I do this in my oven on a very low temp? Im not totally raw but like to incoorporate alot of raw foods especially the raw greens.

      Yes, you can place in oven at 350F for 10-15 minutes if you don’t care about high temps. Or at 275F for 30 minutes, or 250F for 45 minutes. If you get even lower than that, your oven will have to be on longer… and I think that is just a waste of energy. Good luck Cayce!!! Let me know how it goes!
